BREAKING: $15,000 REWARD OFFERED IN SEARCH FOR LAKE COUNTY MURDER SUSPECT
TBI: Do not approach Austin Drummond—he is armed, dangerous, and on the run
LAKE COUNTY, Tenn. — A combined reward of $15,000 is now being offered by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Marshals Service for information leading to the arrest of Austin Robert Drummond, who is wanted in connection with the brutal murders of four people in Lake County and the kidnapping and abandonment of a baby girl.
Drummond, 28, has officially been added to the TBI’s Most Wanted list. Authorities say he is considered armed and extremely dangerous, with a long history of violent crimes.
“Anyone who knows anything, please report it,” said Kim Wheeler with the TBI. “Call 1-800-TBI-FIND or contact your local law enforcement agency. Any tips. All tips are welcome in this case.”
Drummond is described as:
- 5’10”
- 190 lbs.
- Brown hair
- Blue eyes
- Possibly altered appearance (clean-shaven, hat, etc.)
He was last known to be driving a 2016 white Audi A3 with Tennessee license plate RI 01896. The vehicle has visible damage to the driver’s side.
Long History of Violence
According to District Attorney Danny Goodman of the 29th Judicial District, Drummond has been on law enforcement’s radar for years.
“He’s not a stranger to violent offenses, so he is a dangerous individual, and people just need to take precautions,” Goodman said.
Drummond was serving a 13-year sentence for aggravated robbery and retaliation before his release last year. While behind bars, he faced new charges, including:
- Attempted First-Degree Murder
- Possession of contraband (weapon and controlled substance) in a penal facility
After his release, he was out on bond for multiple charges, including possession of meth with intent to sell.
“We had charges. He’s already appeared a few times in our court and circuit court, so we were already familiar with him and his cases,” Goodman added.
Suspect in Lake County Quadruple Homicide
TBI agents have issued warrants charging Drummond with:
- Four counts of First Degree Murder
- One count of Aggravated Kidnapping
- Four counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm
- One count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony
Authorities are urging the public not to approach Drummond under any circumstances.
